New Covenant LIfe

John 10:10 “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” (AMP)

One of the biggest needs in the body of Christ today among Christians is for believers to have a relationship with God free of condemnation, guilt and fear. 1 John 4:18 “Such love has no fear –What love, God love – because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced His perfect love. (NLT) I believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a message that gives the reality to have walk in a relationship with God. So many believers are serving God for exterior motives and maybe even out of fear. Yet I have understood and have experienced that serving God with no other motive other than because He first loved me, is the best way to serve Him. Why? Because there will be no strings attached, there are no hidden fees, no connection charges, no undisclosed messages.

The New covenant is being safe and sound knowing that our God will never turn His back on us, that it doesn't matter how hard you are holding on to Him, but rather be assured and in rest knowing that He is holding on to you. His hands hold tighter than our own. This new covenant Grace is the anchor of our souls.

John 3:16 “16 For God so greatly loved and dearly loved the world –The world; He’s not talking about the planet Earth. He’s talking about the people of the world. So we can say for God so loved people. We have to understand that God loves people; He loves everyone that has lived, that is living and that is to live. He loves to love people – that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([d]unique) Son, –Sometimes we don’t realize just how much God values us, Think for a second about this, , God valued us so much that He was willing to give up His son Jesus on the cross, so He wouldn't give up on us – so that whoever believes in, trusts in, clings to Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.” (AMP) His desire is for everyone who believes in Him to not perish but have an eternal life. This part of the verse alone debunks and discredits Universalism, which states that everyone is saved because of God’s Grace and there is no hell. We have to believe in this Gospel, believe in Jesus, Ephesians 2:8 “God saved you by His grace when you “believed”.

John 3:17 “For God did not send the Son into the world – What did He not send Jesus into this world to do? I don’t know about you but many times when I introduce Jesus to people, they quickly feel condemned and guilty, and a sort of inferiority. There seems to be a belief system in their minds that has just been embedded in them that God is looking to find errors in us so he can sentence us – in order to judge (to reject, to condemn,) the world, but that the world might find salvation – Salvation there is not just salvation from hell, see people think that being saved is to get saved from going to hell. That is a benefit when you give your life to Jesus, but salvation (So-zo in Grk speaks about being saved, delivered, whole, healthy . . ALL the promises of God is encompassed in that work So-zo – and be made “safe and sound” through Him.” (AMP) So many people have given their life to God but not many feel safe and sound.

These 2 verses are the Gospel of Grace in a nut shell. They bring out the intent and purpose of God for the world. See, as long as you find yourself in a place where you constantly hear what is wrong with you and how you need to line yourself up so God can accept you, you will never experience this abundant life that Jesus came to give us. Find yourself a place that reminds you of the things that are right with you because of the finished work of Jesus on the cross. So many people never feel safe and sound in a relationship with God because their foundation with God is based on an old covenant relationship and not a new covenant one. The Gospel is ALWAYS good news.
