Adam Vs Jesus

Adam Vs Jesus 1 Corinthians 15:21-22 “So you see, just as death came into the world through a man, now the resurrection from the dead has begun through another man. Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life.” • God created Adam perfect in His own image, in the image of God. There was no sin and no blemish on him. o At Adams disobedience, the glory of God that had covered him was lifted off of him and he became aware of his nakedness (the lack of the glory of God). o Because the seed of every human being was inside of Adam, everyone born there after including you and I are born sinners. This was a free “gift” given to us by Adam.  Romans 5:12 “When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.” • Now, because mankind’s spiritual life and authority was surrendered to the devil by one man. God had to come to earth in the form of a man to take it back. o 1st Corinthians 15:45 ““The first man, Adam, became a living person. But the last Adam—that is, Christ—is a life-giving Spirit.” • Author and Pastor A.W Towzer said “There are 2 races living on Earth, those that sprung from the loins of Adam, and a regenerated race that is born of the Spirit through the redemption which is in Christ. • 1. I need you to understand that NO amount of holy, church going, tithe and offering giving, prayer and fasting living could take us out of the sinful nature that Adam put us in. We are stuck there and the only way out of it is by faith in Jesus Christ. o Romans 10:9-12 “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” • 2. I also need you to understand that no amount of bad behavior or “unholy” living can move us out of the position of righteousness that has been given to us by Jesus. Although most Christians are ok with the first part, they have a hard time accepting the second part. First thing that comes to mind is, this pastor is telling us that we can go out and do whatever we want. The problem is that we don’t fully understand the power of a new creation that we become we give our lives to Christ. • A caterpillar is a creature in itself, but in time it is transformed into a NEW CREATURE, a butterfly. See, the butterfly after seeing how beautiful it is, it will NEVER want to go back into sinking in the mud and crawling on the mud. Same as us, once we become new creatures in Christ there is no way we would ever want to go back to our sinful desires. There may be times when the butterfly may stop flying and walk on the dirt here and there, But it will never love the old lifestyle nor can it turn itself back into a caterpillar. We can sometimes get mixed up in sinful messes but if we have really been transformed into a new creature, we will NEVER want to live that style again. • God knows all things, and so when we sin, this is no shock to God. He is a Spirit and He is in tuned with the Holy Spirit within you. All of our sins (past, present and future) were laid upon Jesus’ back and he paid the ultimate price for them. We can rest in God knowing that He will never punish us for sins that have already been accounted for in the body of Jesus.

The perfect Will of God

"The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it.  But the Lord God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden— except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.” (Genesis 2:15-17 NLT)

The creation of man can be translated as a love story written by God Himself.  So visible in the care and prestige when He methodically shaped him. God's careful attention and love when He formed man and breathed the breath of life into him is very apparent in the mere fact that He formed Adam and not simple created him. He took time with him forming him and shaping him into a perfect vessel.
Once the completion of His creation was approved by God Himself, He placed man in the Garden of Eden.
Eden was the place God created, where He could fellowship with Adam and Eve. It is apparent that God would often come down and fellowship with them. I can imagine that In the cool of the day, Adam and his wife would hear the voice of God walking in the garden. This however all changed in chapter 3 when they decide to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The antonym of good is evil and therefore the antonym of evil has to be good. So if Adam and Eve had no knowledge of either good nor evil, what did they have knowledge of? Adam and Eve simply knew the will of God. They did as God instructed them to do. God told Adam to name all the animals and he did as he was told. The fellowship that God had with Adam is a fellowship that God wanted to bring back with the new Adam, our Savior.   So in essence God didn't warn Adam about eating from the tree of Knowledge of good and evil. He warned him about leave His perfect will.

Let's go back to Eden. Back to the will of God.

God bless you
